What is your riding goal for 2019? Do you have a special race, are you organizing a group ride or learning a new skill?
My goal for the 2020 season is to get better at climbing.
I love DH, but I know that
sometimes climbing is a necessary thing. It’s been a weakness for a couple of
years, but this year I’m really wanting to improve my climbing skills.
What can you do to encourage more women to ride and enjoy cycling?
I love inviting friends on rides, even friends who have never ridden before. I like to make it really enjoyable and fun so they’ll want to ride with me again. There aren’t a lot of women in our area, but there is one group that really does a great job. Sometimes the cycling community can feel closed-off and I want my friends to feel really included regardless of their skill level.
Why did you choose Moxie Cycling and Wicked Girl? What is your favorite thing about us?
I chose Moxie/Wicked Girl because I really wanted to be supported by a company that valued the riding journey of every woman from beginner to pro.
One of my favorite things is their choice is product and that I can find riding gear that actually fits. I’m a mom of three and unfortunately I am not as small as I once was. It has been really hard to find gear that fits right and that I feel comfortable in. Moxie Cycling and Wicked Girl have provided size options that work for me and don’t make me feel bad.
